We're a week to the NBA's indefinite suspension of its season as the world copes with coronavirus. It's going to be a while until we get real basketball but we have NBA 2K20 to fill in a few of the openings. While the league is hoping to go back for at least the playoffs, if not an abbreviated remainder of the regular season, we do not know if it's going to happen. Rather than await the NBA to crown a champion via the due process of playoffs, we are going to jump directly to the simulation and crown a winner of our very own.
Of course, only running the playoffs with present teams as they stand today would be simple. Surely we will get a great postseason and we could see whether Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks can finally get over the hump, or when Kawhi Leonard will reign supreme once again with his third group, the LA Clippers. But if we are going to try it, why do it simple? If we are going to crown a winner, let us crown a CHAMPION.
What we'll do today with the simulating power of NBA 2K is look back to history and seed a playoff tournament with 16 previous winners. We'll pit them against each other in a bid to ascertain who is the best champion of all time, at least in the eyes of NBA 2K20.Create-A-Player Requires Improved Face and Hair Sculpting
The CAPs now have the ability to include tattoos, but the face and hair sculpting is still behind games like MLB The Display, and many certainly WWE 2K titles. Blowing this region of the game outside will push an already powerful bit of the sport to another level. It seems like the absence of this attribute in NBA 2K matches is a philosophical choice. For some reason, it appears 2K does not find the value in permitting its franchise gamers to keep their saves from one version to the next. MLB that the Show introduced this about seven decades ago and its community adores the feature. 2K is still behind in this region.
