It's well-established in the field of basketball video games. There's only one challenger to 2K in the form of NBA Live. 2K has been the dominant player in the marketplace for the past five to six years, despite infrequent releases. This dominance has resulted in record-setting sales for 2K Sports, Take-Two Interactive and the game itself has not developed over the past several years. The game's gameplay is plagued by bugs and issues that were previously present in previous versions. For those who are spending $60 a year for the game are likely to be disappointed by it was developed with little attention to detail.

NBA 2K20 is arguably the most disappointing installment in the series since NBA 2K8. The gameplay was very basic. It was almost like the game's creators took NBA 2K19 and painted it. Then they released the game under the title NBA 2K20. The only notable change in the game was the quantity of advertisements that were placed across MyCareer and the Park. I do believe that NBA 2K is an excellent game. The issues that need to be rectified are relatively minor. The game will benefit from all the suggestions. 2K has a solid foundation, but the features need some work.

Player Likenesses Classic teams have been a part of 2K since. There have been a few issues with classic teams throughout the years, but there's a major problem with licensing of player likenesses. After a player has retired, NBA 2K needs to pay the player a certain fee each year in order to use their likeness to play. Many players will not allow their likeness to be used in the game. 2K has not reached acceptable financial agreements with any of these players. This means that classic teams often do not have the elements needed to differentiate them.

The Seven Seconds or Fewer Suns are most perfect examples of incompletion. Joe Johnson is not on this team. Johnson averaged 17.1 points per game for the Suns and was a crucial scoring option for Phoenix. Johnson's absence means it is difficult to pick the Suns in online competitive games. The Phoenix Suns in 1993 made the NBA Finals behind Charles Barkley's efforts. The team was great and featured Charles Barkley in the prime of his career. The '93 Suns are not in the game at all because 2K does not want to compete with Barkley's offer.
