- In the City the players are able to work to upgrade their crib and, eventually, earn enough MVP points to unlock the penthouse apartment. There are other rewards that can be earned by completing this task and numerous ways to earn the points needed to unlock these rewards.
As the City is exclusive to next-gen consoles, the penthouse can only be unlocked by only the PS5 along with Xbox Series X versions. To gain access to the penthouse, players must complete tasks that earn MVP points. The total amount of one million MVP points are required to be able to complete this challenge. Every quest that is completed will reward players with points, but the amount of MVP points received will vary depending on the activity. The players can monitor their progress by going to the quest menu and checking for the City MVP section.
Earning MVP points in NBA 2K22 is relatively easy. Anything players do including advancing through the MyCareer mode to strolling along the catwalk can give them points.
Certain tasks, however, offer more points over others. For example, completing the NBA Career Points: 5 (under City MVP quests) will award players 100,000 points. Also, finishing The Personal Brand Free Spirit 9 quest gives 50,000 points. Other tasks, like the Music Scene: Marvin's Room side quest , or deciding to choose between College and G-League and earning fewer number of points (1,000 per).
