Its Western launch of the MMO Lost Ark yesterday created an enormous surge on Twitch that was triggered by the return of Asmongold who streamed for the first time since his channel was launched last September.

With more than 10 million hours of playtime during the day, the game reached its peak yesterday with 1.2 million people watching, as per statistics from SullyGnome. There is no other game that has had an even higher level within the last two weeks, and only Minecraft has seen a higher viewers at its peak in the last month.

Asmongold was the top player in terms of viewers with an average of 1.86 million hours of viewing by himself over 9.25 hours. Asmongold averaged 201,446 viewers. He reached a peak of 284,644.

The game Lost Ark wasn't necessarily the main reason behind the success of Asmongold however it's not possible for a brand new MMO to make it into the market without the most well-known streamer in the genre providing it with a boost.

Asmon is known for taking long breaks from streaming at times on the main channel to time however this time the reason for his absence was to the passing of his mother, something he's mentioned a couple of times in his posts on social media.
